Who We Are
HIST is a division of Hidaya Trust (www.hidayatrust.org). The mission of Hidaya Trust is to implement educational, environmental, social welfare, and health care programs in Pakistan, with focus on projects which promote self-employment. Hidaya Trust is a partner organization of Hidaya Foundation (www.hidaya.org). The mission of Hidaya Foundation is to implement educational, environmental, social welfare, and health care programs in economically depressed areas of South Asia, West Africa and North America, with focus on projects which promote self-employment. Hidaya Trust receives majority of its funding from Hidaya Foundation. Muslims throughout the world particularly in North America donate their zakat, sadaqah and other charity to Hidaya Foundation which is distributed to benefit zakat deserving and under privileged.
